Yvette began her coaching career after working as a lawyer for over 10 years in a variety of roles. From the big tier law firms, government sector roles and a smaller city firms, she enjoyed a highly successful and rewarding career. It is her focus and attention to detail so required in her previous career that brings an added dimension to her capability as a highly successful and sought after coach. Yvette commenced business coaching as a trainer and executive coach with a chosen specialisation in Emotional Intelligence. She is now considered to be among Australia's most well informed and qualified practitioners in the area of Emotional Intelligence and has pioneered the introduction of Emotional Intelligence concepts to Australian businesses. Her valuable professional and business experience as a lawyer enables her to offer a deep understanding of the issues within corporate, legal and government environments and provides her with particularly strong analytical skills. Since 2000, Yvette has presented numerous workshops on Emotional Intelligence to corporations and government, as well as a variety of professional development workshops on subjects such as team development, mentoring, coaching, and stress and time management. Yvette has successfully coached many senior managers and executives on a variety of issues including general leadership development, issues and people management, change management, strategic planning, career development, coaching and mentoring skills, effective communication and negotiation, team development, stress management, conflict resolution and motivation. Yvette has her Masters of Law and has also worked with Mt Eliza Business School in public sector leadership development and as a feedback-giver in the Executive MBA Coaching and Mentoring module. Yvette is also the mother of three sons and is experienced in balancing professional and personal commitments and in helping others do the same. |
