John brings to his coaching engagements the knowledge and experience gained from a highly successful career in Human Resources that spans 17 years - as Human Resources Director for Hewlett Packard for 4 years and Human Resources Director for Compaq Computer Corporation for 13 years.  This provides his clients with the depth of business acumen, knowledge and finesse that allows them to achieve their desired outcomes.

During his HR career John has been an integral member of the senior leadership team as they negotiated their way through three highly successful and impactful mergers and acquisitions.  This solid hands-on experience of some of the most major change activities ever accomplished in this country makes him a highly sought after resource in any organisation undergoing change.

With a background as a lawyer, John is highly skilled in coaching professionals in the areas of career, work/life balance and leadership.   John's deep experience of corporate and professional life provides his clients with a pragmatic edge.

John has extensive experience in coaching executives to become inspiring leaders - leaders that talented employees want to work for. John assists Executives in achieving mutually defined goals relative to their professional development and personal satisfaction levels.  As a result, Executives achieve better outcomes for their organisations.

John is a member of the International Coaching Federation and is also a recognised coach/mentor for both Non-Profit Australia and the Australian Human Resources Institute.  He is a charter associate member of the International Positive Psychology Association and was invited to attend the 5th International Positive Psychology Summit in Washington DC.

John has a BA from University of New South Wales and a Diploma of Law (SAB).  He is also qualified in using instruments like PDI 360 assessments, Margisson McCann TMI and other tools.
