Ivan Arnold is an experienced Human Resources executive with an extensive strategic and operational background, having specialised at various times in IR/ER, recruitment, remuneration and benefits, business resource planning, career planning, coaching and structural and culture change. He has held senior HR management roles in blue chip resources and manufacturing organisations including BHP, ICI, Kraft Foods and Unilever Australasia and has been employed as a consultant on a range of projects with the National Mutual Royal Bank, Hay Management Group, Santos Limited, Patties Foods Limited, the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited, Australian Home Care Services and Executive Airlines.

Throughout his career Ivan has achieved successful outcomes to difficult human resources issues by focussing on facts, team work, applying a logical, patient and pragmatic approach, and ensuring that communication is open, honest and timely. His coaching, advising and mentoring activities have covered employee relations issues, recruitment and selection for promotion, career transition, harassment, reward and recognition from shop floor to executive director level.

Ivan is recognised for his attention to detail, his ability to identify the real issue of concern and to involve stakeholders and interested parties in determining a rational solution. In the mid-1980's Ivan was seconded to work for the Chairman at BHP because of his coordinating and communication skills, attention to detail and his ability to work with people from coal face to Board level. Ivan holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Industrial Relations and Politics) from the University of Western Australia and a post-graduate certificate in Executive Coaching.
