Garrick has held senior roles in both public and private organisations, including several years as a General Manager within the Australian Energy sector. Prior to assuming his latest role (including full Profit and Loss responsibilities), Garrick gained considerable experience in national-level Business Development roles, as well as gaining consulting experience with some of Australia's best-known HR consulting firms.
As a consultant, Garrick has completed coaching and assessment assignments in public sector organisations at Commonwealth, State and local government levels. He has also worked with organisations in Manufacturing, Mining/Energy, and Financial Services. Garrick focuses on helping individuals learn and communicate better in order to become more effective and more satisfied with their work. Whether coaching his direct reports, or sharing his knowledge within a consulting context, Garrick brings a client-centred approach to all of his assignments. Garrick coaches individuals and managers with practical, hands-on advice regarding organisational dynamics and managing individual interactions. He is accredited in a wide range of behavioural preference and Emotional Intelligence assessments, including SHL's OPQ, Saville Wave, Facet 5, Bar-On EQi (Emotional Intelligence) and quickly builds trust with his clients, working closely with them to identify barriers to effective performance. Garrick is a registered psychologist who specialises in Talent Management and Leadership Development. |
