David has had an expansive management career of 35 years, having worked in agriculture, transport, textiles, export, dairy, food and beverage, services and justice and corrections businesses.
He has held roles as Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director and Non Executive Director. He has both commercial and political skills and experience having worked closely with both state and federal governments over many years. He operates a successful business consultancy providing advice and support to Chairmen, Chief Executives and management of small, medium and large companies providing a unique set of skills, experience and practical advice in a broad range of business environments. His specialty is strategic planning, development of services and new business, company positioning for growth in a changing market. Of particular interest are people managing through change, capturing the business opportunities to grow the company and themselves. He is currently non-executive director of one organisation and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD). He is an Emeritus Trustee of the Committee for the Economic Development of Australia (CEDA). Married with two children, he has an active family life. Throughout his career he has coached Chief Executives and Managers. His view is that he has had a great career and is using his experience and knowledge to assist others in improving as managers. David strongly believes that Chief Executive and Executive coaching provides the opportunity to utilise his skills and experience and thereby put back into the business community. |
